2nd Kenya Inter-varsity Debate Championship 2013

The Return of Debate: 2nd Kenya Intervarsity Debate Championship
So you think you are a better debater or speaker in Kenya? Well here is your chance to come to debate and speak your way to victory in the upcoming 2nd Intercity Debate and Speech championship slated for 7th and 8th June 2013. This year it is bigger than what we had last year. We have expanded beyond Nairobi and the true image of a National Championship is shaping up. Come see Strathmore defending the championship they won at the Inaugural event. Will they maintain the winning streak or will we have a new Champion?
Come do the battle of wits with Rift-Valley Debate powerhouse; Kabianga University from Kericho County, a team the represented Kenya at the Pan African University Championship in South Africa. Will you match their experience?. Then there is the most consistent institution in attending and organisizing and attending the bi weekly trainings; St. Paul’s University-Limuru Campus; will they spring a surprise this year?
The theme this year is “Youth Engagement in Public Affairs”
Since January, we have been doing fortnight debate trainings from various universities on a rotational basis and we have entered the crux of the trainings now. It is not yet late for you to be part of this championship. Soon registration of teams will start. But before then, you can register for training by emailing kndebatecouncil@gmail.com and we will add you into our database, we will send you training manual and you will start receiving our training invites every fortnight.
The next training is slated for 11th May 2013 at the Kenyatta University-City Campus. More details will be remitted soon. Be part of the Debate championship and help in “Articulating a Better Kenya” in accordance to the KNDC motto.

  1. I love the idea of debating, it brings in my mind the great intellects like Malcolm X, Luther King, F Kennedy, Tom Mboya. Will i match them? that is the greatest disturbing quiz eating my brain. For the best i pray this time i hope.
